Michael McNamee is an experienced business attorney with concentrations in local government/municipal/township law, public sector law, commercial and residential real estate, annexation and zoning, commercial transactions, commercial litigation, construction law, banking law, and corporate law.
Michael has served as the Law Director for the City of Englewood since 1994; legal counsel for the Miami Valley Communications Council (a collaboration of over 32 local governments); as well as attorney to many other business owners, real estate developers, banks, physicians, and corporate clients, such as Speedway, The Oberer Companies, First American Title Insurance Company, Monroe Federal Savings and Loan, and the Mills-Morgan/Synergy Development family of companies.
Michael’s wide and diverse client base has afforded him the opportunity to gain an expansive array of experience in a number of areas including large-scale commercial agreements and transactions; commercial real estate development and construction including zoning, eminent domain, and annexation proceedings; real estate and business sales and acquisitions; commercial and residential loan transactions; business structuring; and employment agreements. As a litigator, Michael assists clients in resolving complex legal disputes at all stages of litigation in both state and federal courts at both trial and appellate levels including the Ohio Supreme Court.
Michael earned his B.S. in Engineering from West Virginia University in 1980, his M.B.A. with Honors from University of Notre Dame in 1983, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1990.
After graduating from law school, Michael worked for three years in a large Dayton-area law firm, and then began his own private practice in 1993. In what is now approaching 25 years of practice, Michael has enjoyed a steadily growing practice, an accomplished and talented staff, and a valued and estimable client base.
